Sometimes, when one customer uses the nesting CNC machine to process panels, and they would encounter the problem of panel chipping. What is the cause of this phenomenon? Please read this passage patiently. And the reasons have been summarized under the following five aspects.
Let us first briefly explain what is chipping of panel phenomenon.
Due to the influence of the cutting tools and the panel itself, or the speed, the surface of the panel is no longer flat. Therefore, rolling and burrs may occur during processing. And this is called the chipping of panel phenomenon.
1.The material of panel
- MDF and particle board are one of the common panels. Due to low cost and easy processing, there have been widely used in the production line of Wooden Furniture CNC Machine.
- But these two kinds of panel have the same shortcoming. The two kinds of panel are pressed, which means that they are not a whole. If the bonding strength is not strong, the panel is easily being chipped when processed.
Solution: The choice of panels maybe not possible for us to change, but we can choose a good Wooden Furniture CNC Machine. BLUE ELEPHANT can promise that we can avoid the chipping phenomenon as less as possible.
2.The sharpness of tool
- Tool plays an essential role in the processing. And the sharpness of the tool would affect the roughness of the material’s surface directly. If the tool’s sharpness is not strong, and the chipping problem will happen. Therefore, when the tool is in poor condition, it is not recommended to process the material with a fast speed .
Solution: Try to select a good quality tool. Once the chipping occurs during the machining process, it is necessary to stop working and replace the tool.
3.The speed of spindle
- If the spindle speed is not enough, the panel is likely to be chipped in the process of working.
Solution: The spindle speed needs to be adjusted to a higher point. Please notice that the spindle speed is not affect the tool’s range of using
4.Tool clamping is not strong
Tool clamping is not strong, causing chipping and tool damage during processing of the raw material.
Solution: Fix the tool
5.the workpiece is not firmly absorbed
When the Wooden Furniture CNC Machine processes the material, the workpiece is not firmly absorbed, which would cause the panel to move. This is also the reason for chipping.
Solution:Nowadays, the vacuum table of the CNC Router machine is more popular. It has a better adsorption effect, and the panel will be more evenly stressed, which directly improves the cutting precision.
